When I tell you that I never pass up an opportunity to order bread sticks at a restaurant, I mean it! Bread is the key to my heart. This recipe for homemade garlic breadsticks truly could not be easier, especially because you get to use premade, store bought dough. It's the best. These breadsticks are fabulous on their own but are even better served with marinara sauce for dipping. Delish! Full recipe below.
Ingredients:
1 pkg premade pizza dough, I used Pillsbury Original
2-3 cloves garlic, grated or pressed
1/4 C olive oil
pinch red chili flakes
1/4 C chopped parsley
1/2 tsp Maldon Sea Salt
Freshly cracked black pepper
Optional: side of marinara sauce for dipping
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine olive oil, red pepper flakes and garlic in a bowl. Mix. Roll dough out onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil. Once the dough is in 1 flat rectangle, brush the olive oil mixture on the entire surface of the dough. You can use your fingers to spread the oil around if you don't have a brush! Sprinkle Maldon sea salt on top and finish with freshly cracked black pepper. Bake at 400 for 10-12 min until golden brown. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh parsley, slice and serve with marinara sauce for dipping!
